Announcing Classical Post Awards 2018

Classical Post Awards

Classical Post Awards

This year we are thrilled to launch the first-ever Classical Post Awards where we have deliberately chosen a mix of both the superstars and the underdogs who have contributed in a “most innovative” way to the art form.

Classical Post Awards are created to celebrate the most innovative musicians and organizations in the classical music industry who introduce new and/or highly creative thought applied to their craft, ensemble, or organization.

Classical Post was founded on the principle that classical music needs to be celebrated despite most media’s shrinking classical music coverage. Not only should the superstar musicians and top tier organizations be applauded, but the highly-gifted artists and innovative presenters that might not be bold-faced names at the moment.

If we have found one connecting truth throughout our collective experience in the media landscape, it’s this: Rejection of most classical music coverage in the media is not a value judgment, but lack of resources. This even includes niche classical music publications/platforms.

Classical Post is here to fix this by offering our own platform with regular coverage now encompassing interviews, concert and album reviews, and features.

We created 16 awards that fall under three categories. Winners will be announced on Thursday, December 20, 2018.
