The New Initiatives Were Created in an Effort to Spread the Art of Chamber Music to New Audiences Around the Globe

As the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center rings in its 50th anniversary, the CMS has announced the creation of four new initiatives to celebrate this landmark achievement.

Each of the four programs is uniquely designed to help spread the art of chamber music to new audiences around the globe.

In the midst of celebrating 50 years as an established chamber music society, the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center adds a weekly program entitled In Concert with CMS on ALL ARTS, a recurring presence on the international classical music network Medici.tv, radio broadcasts over Hong Kong Radio 4, and a monthly podcast hosted by Artistic Directors Wu Han and David Finckel.

The new partnership with Medici.tv marks a collaboration with the global leader in classical music video streaming. The partnership will kick-off as it broadcasts CMS’s 50th anniversary season-opening concert Dvořák's American Quintet. Additionally, they will feature a collection of archival works for on-demand streaming on their website.

The Radio Television Honk Kong (RTHK) Radio 4 will broadcast 14 CMS radio episodes on its Live on 4 Program—this partnership was set into motion on October 2, 2019

On October 20, 2019, the Chamber Music Society launched In Concert with CMS, a monthly program featuring select past performances on WNET’s ALL ARTs broadcast channel, streaming platform, and website.

Finally, the CMS launched The Phenomenal 50, a podcast featuring Wu Han and David Finckel that spotlights some of the finest CMS concerts from the 50 years. A new edition will be released every Monday of the anniversary season and will be available on the CMS website, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Google Podcasts.
