THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 21, 2019

THE FIREBIRD

Concert Details:  Join esteemed conductor Stéphane Denève in his sixth and final season as The Philadelphia Orchestra’s principal guest conductor and mezzo-soprano Kelley O’Connor in a program featuring works from Auerbach, Liberson, and Stravinsky. Can’t make this Thursday night performance? Attend the additional concerts on Friday, Nov. 22 at 2 PM and Saturday, Nov. 23, at 8 PM.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 2019

MATAN PORAT, PIANO

Concert Details:  Making his PCMS solo recital debut, Matan Porat presents Carnaval, a program based on Schumann’s masterpiece. His 65-minute concert (sans intermission) intersperses Schumann’s 21-character pieces with short compositions by 19 different composers.  

When: Friday, November 22, 2019. 7:30 PM, EDT.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 24, 2019 

ORCHESTRE METROPOLITAIN DE MONTREAL

Concert Details:  Join Yannick Nézet-Séguin as he works with his hometown ensemble, the Orchestre Metropolitan, of which he has been the artistic director and principal conductor since 2000. Hear him lead a masterpiece by Bruckner and two ethereal arias by Mozart, featuring Joyce DiDonato. 

When: Sunday, November 24, 2019. 2 PM, EDT.
