Classical Post Awards 2019: Park Avenue Armory, Most Innovative Presenter: Venue
This not-for-profit organization is dedicated to supporting unconventional works in the visual and performing arts that are in desperate need of non-traditional spaces in order to properly convey their work, their message, and their vision. These non-traditional works need full spaces in order to reach their total realization, enabling artists to create, allowing people to experience, and encouraging audiences to consume adventurous presentations that cannot be mounted elsewhere.
The Armory has been open in NYC since 2007, providing such an extraordinary, non-conventional impact that in 2011 The New York Times deemed it the “most important new cultural institution in New York City.” Part American palace, part industrial shed, the Armory continues to provide visionaries and artists with the innovative space needed to create, inspire, explore, and uncover their art, music, and talents to the world.

📣 Free Masterclass for Artists
If you’ve enjoyed this conversation, I’d love to share something I created that expands on many of the ideas we explore here on Classical Post.
I recorded a free Masterclass designed specifically for classical musicians who want to:
✅ Book more concerts
✅ Increase their performance fees
✅ Build visibility with presenters, agents, and collaborators
This is the same visibility strategy I’ve used in my work with artists at Gold Sound Media—approaches that have helped them land major engagements and grow their careers in meaningful, measurable ways.
📩 Enter your email below and I’ll send you the link to watch the Masterclass on YouTube.
It’s practical, actionable, and designed for artists who are ready to stop waiting and start being seen.
