Classical Post Awards Santa Fe Opera

Under the direction of its general director Robert K. Meya and its artistic director Alexander Neef, the Santa Fe Opera’s mission is to advance the operatic art form by, essentially, providing the highest quality performances in the most unique setting, bringing about a varied repertoire of new, rarely performed, and standard works. 

Operating in a location that’s been called a visual and architectural wonder, the Santa Fe Opera functions to perform excellence in hopes of ensuring opera’s future through unique avenues—apprenticeships for singers, technicians, art administrators, and more. Further, they exist to not only foster understand, but help appreciation of opera thrive among a diverse, but curious public.
