Cleveland Pops G-Clef Gala Will Honor Directors Anthony and Joe Russo

Anthony and Joe Russo, Both From Cleveland, Are TV & Film Directors Best Known For Marvel Movies

The Cleveland Pops yearly celebration—cleverly known as the G-Clef Gala—is considered one of the most anticipated fundraisers held annually in Cleveland—this year, however, the event is even more noteworthy. 

Not only will the gala uphold its traditional agenda of a distinctive and prestigious silent auction along with its grand dance music provided by maestro Carl Topilow and the world-renowned Cleveland Pops Orchestra, but they will also welcome two acclaimed guests as honorees—Joseph and Anthony Russo. 

Known to Hollywood as the Russo Brothers, Joseph and Anthony are Cleveland natives who’ve crafted masterful careers in the movie business. Though they’ve directed and produced dozens of films, they are perhaps best known for their directing skills in Marvel movies such as Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and the recently released Avengers: Endgame, a blockbuster so successful it grossed a staggering $2.7 billion to date. The brothers are also recognized for their work on the much-loved comedy series Arrested Development.

The sparkling event, which will be hosted by Fox 8 Newscaster Wayne Dawson, is predicted to be a spectacular evening with dazzling music, exciting guests, and ample opportunity to raise funds to benefit the non-profit orchestra. 

The G-Clef Gala will be held at the Hilton Cleveland Downtown Hotel on Saturday, October 19, 2019, at 6 PM. Tickets for the gala—a black tie and optional white jacket event—are set at $250 per person.
