Where is Tony Siqi Yun?

Do you remember Tony Siqi Yun? Probably not, but you should! Last May, the Canadian pianist was awarded the Gold Medal of the China International Music Competition. He also received an unprecedented prize of $150,000 with representation of Opus 3 Artists in the United States and Europe, and ARmstrong Music and Arts in China.

Perhaps the most impressive part: he was only 18 years old!

Since then, Tony, combined with Opus 3 Artists, will coordinate three years of international concert tours. As a soloist, Yun has already given recitals in North America, Europe and Asia. Highlights include recitals at the renowned Salle Cortot Concert Hall in Paris, Opera & and Concert Hall of CCOM, The Juilliard School, New York’s Steinway Hall and at the Heidelberger Frühling Music Festival.

Though we haven’t heard much from Tony since winning the Top Prize, we’re looking forward to seeing upcoming concerts over the next three years. Touring will mean that Tony is a busy young man: in addition to piano, he studies composition and conducting at The Juilliard School Pre-College Division.

Stay tuned for more information on the soon-to-be amazing career of Tony Siqi Yun!
