Get to Know the Flutist Behind Blue Landscapes III: Frontier

Pianist Robert Thies and flutist Damjan Krajacic recently released their third album together, Blue Landscapes III: Frontiers. This third album of their long collaboration was inspired by Earth’s beauty and natural wonders.

The third collection of songs explores different compositional approaches, challenging the musicians and their polished skills. We were able to catch up with Damjan Krajacic to learn a little more about his favorite places and things to do.

Lake Tahoe, the Adriatic Sea of Croatia, and Paris are just a few of the places Krajacic would love to explore. Lake Tahoe is actually the flutist’s dream place to live, with his family and overlooking the lake and mountains. According to Krajacic, Lake Tahoe would be his ideal place for composing and writing music.

TWO MINDS ARE BETTER THAN ONE

He made sure not to leave out his dear friend and musical partner, Robert Thies, sharing how he has a vision of Thies as his neighbor and frequent visitor to work on Blue Landscapes material. The Adriatic Sea of Croatia, being a warm, calm and friendly environment, feels like home to Damjan Krajacic. And while he has been to Paris before, he can’t help but have the desire to return to the “magical” and “artistic” city.

When in Los Angeles, Krajacic enjoys a little spot called Aroma Café in West LA. With traditional food from Bosnia and what used to be Yugoslavia, the small cafe makes Krajacic reminiscent of his childhood. Let’s also not forget the delectable Turkish coffee!

Family holds priority over everything else for Krajacic and when he’s not performing, the flutist loves to spend time with his own wife and two daughters. Aside from family, Krajacic will spend his free time listening to music, going to concerts, and composing new music; enjoying the process of creation.

📣 Free Masterclass for Artists

If you’ve enjoyed this conversation, I’d love to share something I created that expands on many of the ideas we explore here on Classical Post.

I recorded a free Masterclass designed specifically for classical musicians who want to:

✅ Book more concerts

✅ Increase their performance fees

✅ Build visibility with presenters, agents, and collaborators

This is the same visibility strategy I’ve used in my work with artists at Gold Sound Media—approaches that have helped them land major engagements and grow their careers in meaningful, measurable ways.

📩 Enter your email below and I’ll send you the link to watch the Masterclass on YouTube.

It’s practical, actionable, and designed for artists who are ready to stop waiting and start being seen.
